Another very effective trick is to make a real trap for silverfish. Pour oatmeal into a jar, which you then tape shut. The starch in the oatmeal will attract the insects, which will climb into the jar but will not be able to get out again, sliding down the glass.If you find a silverfish nest, pour some ethyl alcohol on it to get rid of it.
Remember that silverfish like moist places, so if possible, put baking soda in the jar so it can absorb moisture.
